Recently, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province announced the list of specialized and sophisticated SMEs in Guangdong Province in 2022. GMC's ten subsidiaries made the list, covering seven industrial clusters, i.e. advanced materials, high-end equipment manufacturing, new-generation electronic information, cutting-edge new materials, digital creativity, safety, emergency and environmental protection, and modern agriculture and food.
 

Construction Decoration Group—Safety, Emergency and Environmental Protection Industrial Cluster

Founded in 1983, Guangzhou Construction Decoration Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Construction Decoration Group") is a state-owned construction decoration enterprise that is one of the firsts to engage in interior and exterior decoration design and construction and integrates design consulting, production and processing, installation and construction in China. Notably, it has been selected as one of the top 100 enterprises of the China Building Decoration Association. Over the past years, it has attached great importance to technological innovation and talent cultivation with the number of scientific and technological personnel accounting for more than 40% of its workforce. In 2022, it invested nearly RMB 30 million in R&D. As of 2022, it had obtained 38 national patents, 14 provincial engineering methods and nearly 20 nationally leading technological achievements, and had participated in the compilation of more than 30 national, local and industry standards.

Wuyang Company—High-end Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Cluster

Guangzhou Wuyang Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Wuyang Company") is a national high-tech enterprise and an engineering technology research center in Guangdong Province. It is the only enterprise in the province that integrates R&D, production, sales, renting, installation, dismantling and maintenance as well as special operator training for construction hoisting machinery. Wuyang Company has focused on the R&D, production and sales of tower cranes for over three decades. In recent years, it has actively explored the manufacturing of high-end equipment for prefabricated buildings and developed the largest intelligent flat-top tower crane in Guangdong Province, reaching the leading technological level in China. As one of the first enterprises in Guangdong to offer training services for special construction workers, Wuyang Company has trained a large number of special construction workers for the province and Guangzhou City in more than a decade, achieving remarkable social benefits.

GMC Landscape—Safety, Emergency and Environmental Protection Industrial Cluster

GMC Landscape Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "GMC Landscape") is a national high-tech enterprise, a benchmarking enterprise for independent innovation in Guangdong Province, and an advanced enterprise for scientific and technological innovation in civil construction in Guangdong Province. After nearly 20 years of development in the modern landscape field, GMC Landscape has obtained a total of more than one hundred international invention patents, national invention and utility model patents, new plant varieties, internationally and nationally leading technical achievements and provincial engineering methods. Meanwhile, its three major technical services of landscape tree planting and cultivation, eco-friendly landscaping, and eco-friendly landscape plant maintenance have been recognized as "Guangdong High-tech Products". In recent years, the projects undertaken by GMC Landscape have obtained more than 50 science and technology awards from national, provincial, and municipal industry associations, and won the Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture for three consecutive years.

Flowers and Trees Company—New-generation Electronic Information Industrial Cluster

Guangzhou Flowers and Trees Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Flowers and Trees Company") remains active in promoting technological R&D and application in the fields such as three-dimensional greening, eco-friendly pavement and sponge city construction. In the past three years, it has won 18 national, provincial, and ministerial awards and has been recognized as a national high-tech enterprise, one of the top 50 urban landscaping and greening enterprises in China, and a leading forestry enterprise in Guangdong Province. So far, it has 83 authorized patents, four provincial engineering methods, nine provincial scientific and technological achievement appraisals, and three provincial high-tech products. Landscape Architecture Company—Safety, Emergency and Environmental Protection Industrial Cluster

Guangzhou Landscape Architecture Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Landscape Architecture Company ") is a national high-tech enterprise, an excellent landscape architecture enterprise in Guangdong Province, and a leading forestry enterprise in Guangdong Province. It has the first-class qualification for ancient landscape architecture construction and the first-class qualification for cultural relics protection construction and is at the advanced level in China in technical services for ecological protection of landscaping projects and for ancient architecture restoration projects. It has developed delicacy management, passed the certification of ISO quality management, environmental management, occupational health and safety management and intellectual property management systems, and continuously improved its R&D and innovation ability. So far, it has three provincial engineering methods, four invention patents, and 24 utility model patents.

Guangzhou Landscape Architecture Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. Guangzhou Institute of Building Science Group Co., Ltd. Guangzhou Testing Center—Safety, Emergency and Environmental Protection Industrial Cluster

Guangzhou Testing Center of Construction Quality & Safety Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guangzhou Testing Center"), a subsidiary of Guangzhou Institute of Building Science Group, is a national high-tech enterprise, a national advanced enterprise in the construction industry, a national advanced unit in the construction quality testing industry, a national AAA credit institution for construction quality testing, and an intellectual property demonstration enterprise in Guangdong Province. It has obtained the laboratory and inspection body accreditation by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment, CMA metrological certification of Guangdong Provincial Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau, Class A qualification certification for engineering investigation of the geotechnical engineering field (survey, design, geophysical prospecting, testing and monitoring), Class A qualification certification of engineering survey, and others. Its testing projects passing the metrological certification have covered 8,524 parameters of 60 categories in six fields. Its project quality testing reports have been mutually recognized in more than 50 countries and regions around the world.

GMET—Cutting-edge New Materials Industrial Cluster

Guangzhou Municipal Engineering Testing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "GMET"), a subsidiary of Guangzhou Institute of Building Science Group, specializes in scientific research consulting and testing business for construction, highway, bridge and tunnel, traffic and environmental engineering and other fields. Relying on the strengths of the national high-tech enterprise, Guangdong Provincial Prefabricated Underground Structure Testing and Monitoring Engineering Technology Research Center, Guangzhou Municipal Innovation Studio of Model Workers and Talented Craftsmen, and other R&D platforms, GMET has led the development of innovative achievements such as the electrical testing technology for sleeve grouting plumpness of prefabricated bridges, the technology of automatic welding and pile connection robots for large-diameter precast pile foundation, and the intelligent sensing and health monitoring technology for super-large bridges using the cable system, and successfully applied them to many major projects. So far, GMET has obtained more than one hundred various intellectual property rights and won more than 30 science and technology awards from provincial and ministerial organizations and provincial societies.
